GQ-ISPS32N

32-port serial server with LCD, rack-mountable

1. Employs a heterogeneous dual-core processor comprising Cortex‑A35 and Cortex‑M4, running the Linux OS with OpenWrt. 2. Supports an OLED display for showing the IP address and serial port type. 3. Features two 10/100/1000 Mbps adaptive Ethernet interfaces, one of which includes a Gigabit‑capable optical interface; provides dual IP and dual MAC addresses to meet multi‑network management or network backup requirements. The Ethernet ports support 10/100Base‑T(X) adaptive operation and enable auto‑negotiation (full/half duplex) as well as automatic MDI/MDIX detection. 4. The serial port supports non‑blocking communication at line speeds ranging from 300 bps to 150,000 bps, with automatic baud rate scanning and matching, and allows users to customize baud rates. 5. The serial data interface offers two operating modes: (1) Each channel can be configured at the factory to provide one of three interface types—RS‑232, RS‑485, or RS‑485—and (2) Each channel may include all three interface types, with different interface settings programmable via DIP switches on site.

Product Overview

A serial server is a device that enables serial‑port equipment to connect to a network instantly, allowing distributed serial devices and hosts to be centrally managed over the network. This product supports 32 RS‑232/RS‑422/RS‑485 ports and two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, one of which features a 100/1000 Mbps adaptive optical Ethernet port. It meets requirements for dual IP addresses, dual MAC addresses, multi‑network management, or network redundancy, and is designed for rack‑mount installation.

The serial‑to‑Ethernet server supports a wide range of network protocols, including TCP, UDP, ARP, ICMP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP, and SNMP. It offers comprehensive management features such as access control, quick configuration, and over-the-air firmware upgrades. Each serial port can handle up to four concurrent TCP or UDP sessions and supports multiple operating modes, including Modbus TCP, TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP Server, and UDP Client. The device also provides web‑based access. Additionally, the accompanying Windows‑based management and configuration tool guides users step by step through device setup, enabling seamless integration of serial devices into the network with minimal effort. The network management interface is user‑friendly and easy to operate, delivering an excellent user experience.

The hardware features a fanless, low-power, wide‑temperature and wide‑voltage design, and has passed rigorous industry‑standard testing, enabling it to withstand the demanding EMC requirements of industrial environments. It is widely applicable to PLC control and management, building automation, healthcare automation systems, measurement instruments, and environmental‑energy monitoring systems, among others.

Product Features

1. It employs a heterogeneous processor architecture featuring a dual-core Cortex-A35 and a Cortex-M4, running the Linux OS with OpenWrt.

2. Supports OLED display of IP address and serial port type.

3. Supports two 10/100/1000 Mbps adaptive Ethernet interfaces, one of which provides a 100/1000 Mbps adaptive optical interface; offers dual IP and dual MAC addresses to meet the requirements of multi‑network management or network redundancy; the Ethernet interface supports 10/100Base‑T(X) adaptive operation; and it features auto‑negotiation (Full‑ and Half‑duplex) as well as automatic MDI/MDIX crossover detection.

4. The serial port supports non‑blocking communication at line rates ranging from 300 bps to 150,000 bps, features automatic baud rate scanning and matching, and allows users to define custom baud rates.

5. The serial data interface offers two modes: 1) Each channel can be configured at the factory to support one of three interfaces—RS‑232, RS‑485, or RS‑485; 2) Each channel is equipped with all three interfaces—RS‑232, RS‑485, and RS‑485—and the specific interface type can be selected on-site via DIP switches.

6. Supports multiple operating modes, including Modbus TCP, TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP Server, and UDP Client.

7. Implemented transparent conversion from Modbus-RTU to Modbus-TCP, enabling network-based access to data from serial-port devices.

8. Supports monitoring of serial port status and parameters, providing a clear overview of the communication state.

9. Supports gateway functionality and inter‑router communication; also supports virtual serial port driver access mode and automatic connection recovery upon network interruptions.

10. Flexible serial port data framing settings to meet users’ diverse packetization requirements.

11. Supports access by standard TCP/IP socket applications; TCP supports multiple connections, enabling up to four users to simultaneously monitor or manage serial‑port devices.

12. In UDP mode, it supports both standalone and multi‑host communication, enabling multiple users to simultaneously monitor or manage serial‑port devices.

13. Supports multiple configuration methods, including the Windows configuration utility, serial port, and web interface, and is compatible with SNMP network management.
