Product Overview
The RS422 optical transceiver converts bidirectional RS422 signals into optical signals for transmission over fiber optic cables. It supports SC, FC, and ST connectors and can operate with either single‑mode or dual‑fiber configurations. This RS422 optical transceiver addresses the limitations of conventional RS422—such as short transmission distances and poor immunity to interference—while also mitigating electromagnetic interference, ground‑loop noise, and risks from lightning strikes and voltage surges, thereby significantly enhancing the reliability, security, and confidentiality of data communications.
Serial optical transceivers are typically used in pairs, leveraging fiber optics to enable long-distance transmission of serial data. They are well-suited for network environments such as telecommunications equipment rooms, LED display communications, security surveillance, intelligent transportation systems, power monitoring, and environmental monitoring.
Product Features
1. Zero-delay automatic forwarding.
2. Supports a bidirectional RS-422 data interface.
3. Automatically detects the serial port baud rate and determines and controls the data transmission direction.
4. Serial port baud rate: 0–115,200 bps.
5. Operating wavelength: 850/1310 nm (multimode), 1310/1550 nm (single-mode).
6. The optical port supports FC, SC, and ST interfaces; multimode transmission ranges from 0 to 2 km, while single-mode transmission spans 0 to 120 km.
7. All operating status indicator lights are present, making the system’s status immediately clear at a glance.
8. Built-in lightning protection circuitry significantly reduces damage caused by lightning-induced surges.
