Product Overview

The GQ5000‑G12SC series fiber optic transceivers (also known as media converters) enable conversion between Ethernet electrical and optical interfaces. Each transceiver can be configured with two Ethernet electrical ports and one optical port, extending Ethernet transmission distances from 100 meters over copper cabling to 550 meters (multimode fiber) or 80 kilometers (single-mode fiber). It facilitates straightforward interconnection among multiple motherboard servers, repeaters, hubs, and terminals, as well as between multiple terminal devices. Featuring a mature switching core, a variety of fiber optic interfaces, and support for hot-swapping, these transceivers offer flexibility, high efficiency, and reliable performance. They are ideally suited for network environments—such as telecommunications, broadcasting, broadband networks, and high-definition video surveillance—that demand high performance and robust reliability.

Product Features

◆ Supports two 10/100/1000 Mbps adaptive electrical ports and one Gigabit optical port (single-fiber or dual-fiber optional)

◆ Supports full-duplex IEEE 802.3x flow control and half-duplex backpressure flow control, with auto-negotiation for either half- or full-duplex mode.

◆ Multimode transmission distance can reach up to 550 meters, while single-mode transmission distance can extend as far as 80 kilometers.

◆ Features include broadcast storm protection, traffic balancing, collision isolation, and error detection.

◆ Employs high-performance switching chips and large-capacity buffers.

◆ High-quality laser components exhibit excellent optical and electrical characteristics, as well as superior thermal stability.

◆ The circuit layout is scientifically designed, with strong anti-interference capabilities, effectively protecting against lightning strikes.

◆ Comprehensive status indicator lights ensure that the operating status is immediately clear at a glance.

◆ External professional switching power supply, ensuring safety and stability; overall power consumption is less than 5 W.

◆ Built-in lightning protection circuitry, which can significantly reduce damage caused by lightning-induced surges.
