Single E1 to 1‑Channel Ethernet Protocol Converter

1. The device supports non‑framed mode (2048 K) configuration, offering flexible application and enabling remote monitoring of the device’s status; network management data does not occupy user service time slots. 2. It can detect whether an E1 circuit is looped back and indicate this via an LED; furthermore, during loopback, it refrains from transmitting packets with identical source and destination MAC addresses over the Ethernet port, thereby preventing switch crashes. 3. It can distinguish between a loss of the E1 signal caused by a power outage at the remote end and one resulting from a break in the intermediate E1 transmission link. 4. It features E1 failover functionality, allowing users to configure the system so that no LINK signal is sent to the Ethernet interface when the E1 line fails. 5. The Ethernet interface supports jumbo frames, with a maximum packet size of up to 2036 bytes. 6. It includes a built-in dynamic Ethernet MAC address table (4096 entries) and provides local frame filtering capabilities.

Product Overview

The protocol converter provides one unframed 2048 kbit/s E1 interface and one Ethernet interface, enabling the transmission of 10/100Base‑T Ethernet data over an unframed E1 channel. It is a high‑performance, self‑learning Ethernet bridge. Serving as an Ethernet extension device, it leverages existing network resources—such as PDH, SDH, or microwave links—to establish Ethernet connectivity between two endpoints at a lower cost. The device also features built-in loopback testing, facilitating both commissioning and routine maintenance.

This product features one E1 interface (75/120 ohms) and one 100-Mbps Ethernet interface, and is available with either -48 V DC or AC 220 V power supply.

Product Features

1. The equipment supports non‑framed mode (2048 K) configuration, offering flexible deployment and enabling remote device status management; moreover, network management data does not consume user service time slots.

2. It can detect whether an E1 line is looped back and indicate this status via an indicator light. Additionally, during loopback mode, it refrains from transmitting packets with identical source and destination MAC addresses out the Ethernet port, thereby preventing the switch from crashing.

3. It can distinguish whether the loss of the E1 signal is due to a power outage at the remote device or a break in the E1 transmission link.

4. It features E1 failover functionality, allowing you to configure the device to refrain from sending a LINK signal to the Ethernet interface when the E1 line fails.

5. Ethernet supports jumbo frames, with a maximum frame size of up to 2036 bytes.

6. Built-in dynamic Ethernet MAC address table (4,096 entries) with local frame filtering capability.

7. Ethernet interface: 10 Mbps/100 Mbps, fully adaptive for both full- and half-duplex operation.

8. The Ethernet port supports AUTO-MDIX (adaptive for both crossover and straight-through cables).

9. The device features an Ethernet-based data monitoring and automatic reset function, ensuring it will not freeze.

10. Provides three loopback functions: E1 local loopback (ANA), Ethernet local loopback (DIG), and command‑initiated remote Ethernet loopback (REM).

11. It simultaneously supports both adaptive 120Ω balanced and 75Ω unbalanced impedances, eliminating the need for additional configuration.
