GQ6000 Application of Digital Video Optical Transceivers at Traffic Intersections

Depending on the specific conditions of each city, one or more surveillance cameras can be installed at every traffic intersection, along with equipment from Guangzhou Guangqiao Company. GQ6000 A series of digital video optical transceivers, each equipped with a pan-tilt unit and its corresponding controller. The surveillance cameras capture real-time traffic video along urban roadways, primarily monitoring vehicles within a specified radius of intersections. The pan-tilt units can be controlled via the control center’s computer, allowing users to adjust the camera’s horizontal orientation. 360 degree, vertical 90 Focus and zoom control.

The monitoring center primarily comprises video codecs, a matrix video wall, a monitoring server, and a digital video recorder, enabling the reception and display of live images from intersection sites, as well as the storage, retrieval, playback, backup, and restoration of recorded footage. The video codec encodes and decodes the video signals captured by front-end surveillance cameras transmitted over a wireless network, forwarding them to the matrix video wall at the monitoring management center, which can simultaneously display feeds from multiple camera locations.

Control commands for pan-tilt units, lenses, and other equipment issued by the monitoring center are transmitted to the remote sites via digital video optical transceivers. Users can operate the pan-tilt control device located at the monitoring center to adjust the pan‑tilt position, lens aperture, focal length, and zoom at any point on site; they can also remotely control power supplies, camera on/off functions, and other parameters—either manually or via auxiliary controls—for the pan‑tilt unit’s up/down, left/right movements.

Video footage captured on-site is converted into digital signals and stored on a hard‑disk video recorder, enabling efficient and convenient storage, updating, retrieval, and backup of data, thereby providing a solid basis for law enforcement activities such as processing traffic violations.

1 • Real-time video transmission, with no compression, ensuring clear video images.

2 Fiber-optic transmission can extend the distance of video transmission and offers excellent security.

3、GQ6000 This series of digital video optical transceivers delivers stable and reliable performance and has earned an excellent reputation across multiple sectors, including public security, the military, traffic police, and building‑level surveillance.
